Ancient Aliens, Giorgio A. Tsoukalos and Making Movies
Giorgio A. Tsoukalos, publisher Legendary Times and consulting producer for Ancient Aliens on the History Channel is an interesting personality.
On one site he has been described as, “Giorgio is the real-life Indiana Jones and he is changing the way the world thinks about the Ancient Astronaut Theory.”
What makes the show highly entertaining is that regardless if you believe or don’t believe in aliens the topic of extraterrestrial life is never boring. Viewers have a positive or negative reaction to what Giorgio A. Tsoukalos and others express on the show.
The sign of good entertainment is to get a reaction from people. Giorgio A. Tsoukalos does this with style. The production value of Ancient Aliens is outstanding.
The beautiful cinematography and backdrops of exotic locations of ancient civilizations that raise questions on how ancient people were able to build these monuments to the gods is always good to spark a lively debate.
Trying to explain the Mayan Pyramids in Mexico, Stonehenge in the United Kingdom, Stone Heads of Easter Island, Egyptian Pyramids, The Nazca Lines and other mysterious sites is what Hollywood movie plots are made from. I think most people have wondered if there is alien life out there that has made contact with our ancient ancestors or visit to this day.
Giorgio A. Tsoukalos shares his theories on ancient astronauts that our ancestors might have thought were space gods. Every civilization has ancient texts, writings and paintings that share stories about gods coming from space in flying machines wearing what look like astronaut suits.
I freely admit I’m still an alien skeptic, but some points made by Giorgio A. Tsoukalos make me wonder when I look at Mayan Pyramids in Mexico, Stonehenge in the United Kingdom, Stone Heads of Easter Island, Egyptian Pyramids and The Nazca Lines.
Or it could be as simple as modern society greatly underestimated the technical capabilities of ancient civilizations. The answers will really ever be known unless we are visited by aliens that can be seen by the masses in HD and not a blurry home video taken by a few people in a remote area.
I love making movies. When I watch shows like Ancient Aliens the screenwriter in me jots down different ideas on how to make a movie that is not the same old Hollywood big budget effects driven cliché. Is it possible to make a truly indie produced movie about ancient aliens or space gods? Or do viewers only want to see another Independence Day or Predators?
I would bet money that Giorgio A. Tsoukalos has stories that could be turned into a screenplay that could be produced on an independent budget. Not a cheesy Hollywood movie that is big on effects and weak on story.
But a hard-hitting indie film that gets people thinking while entertaining them with one hell of a story. This is indie filmmaker Sid Kali typing FADE OUT
